• and omfg she’s reading The Hunger Games don’t flip out Kaitlin ohhh my god don’t scare off this potential friend don’t fucking do it
• start talking
• have lots of mutual interests
• she says “I read a lot of *sudden influx of noise* fiction”
• “YOU READ FAN FICTION”
• 
• “… I said I like to read a lot of fiction.”
• 
• “Oh.”
• “But I read fanfiction, too”
